Practice Areas: Ms. Barker has a diverse practice, which includes litigation and appellate work in Federal and State courts in the areas of professional malpractice, contracts, shareholder derivative, real property, wrongful death and complex business disputes, among other areas. Regular Guardian ad litem appointments by the Circuit Court of Mobile County also comprise a portion of her practice.

Education: St. Paul’s Episcopal School; Judson College, cum laude; Ole Miss Law School. Following law school, Ms. Barker was Law Clerk to the Honorable Presiding Circuit Court Judge Charles A. Graddick, of the Thirteenth Judicial Circuit of Alabama.

Professional Associations: Member of the Alabama Bar, the Mississippi Bar, the American Bar Association and the Mobile Bar Association; Chair of the Mobile Bar Association’s Public Service Committee; Secretary and Finance Committee member of Mobile United; and Chair of the Parents’ Association of the Alabama School of Math & Science since 2013. Her involvement in the legal community extends to her role as a former member of the Executive Committee of the Mobile Bar Association’s Young Lawyers’ Section, a current member of the Executive Committee of the Alabama State Bar Association’s Young Lawyer’s Section, a Member of the Alabama Defense Lawyers Association and a member of the Paul Brock Inn of Court. She is past President of the local Women Lawyers section, for which she has served as a board member for many years. She is an active member of many local civic organizations, to include the Junior League of Mobile and Mobile United, for which she serves as a steering committee member.
