Professional Associations:  Ms. Bailey is currently serving as Past President of the Alabama Law Foundation, which is a charitable organization affiliated with the Alabama State Bar whose primary mission is improving access to justice for poor Alabamians. She has served on the Foundation’s Board of Trustees since 2010, became a Fellow in 2014, and is a charter member of the Foundation’s Atticus Finch Society. She is also a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation and a member of the Alabama Defense Lawyers Association. Ms. Bailey was selected by Legal Services Alabama as the inaugural recipient of the organization’s state-wide Pro Bono Fairness Award in 2020.

Specializing in motions and appeals, Ms. Bailey was appointed by the Alabama Supreme Court in 2015 to serve as a member of the Standing Committee on the Alabama Rules of Appellate Procedure, and she has been recognized in the Appellate Practice section of The Best Lawyers in America since 2011. The author of several amicus briefs for the Alabama Defense Lawyers Association, she frequently writes and lectures on appellate topics. Ms. Bailey has previously served as Chair of the Women’s Section of the Alabama State Bar, as a member of the Board of Bar Commissioners of the Alabama State Bar, and as a board member of the National Conference for Women’s Bar Associations.

On the local level, Ms. Bailey has served as an officer and executive committee member for the Mobile Bar Association, as Chair of the Association’s Bench and Bar Committee, and as President of the Mobile Bar Foundation. She is Past President of the Paul W. Brock Inn of Court in Mobile.

Ms. Bailey is licensed to practice in both Alabama and Mississippi. She and her family attend St. John’s Episcopal Church, where she serves as Trustee of the church’s Permanent Endowment Fund.
