Admitted: 2008; Alabama, Mississippi, Middle and Southern U.S. District Courts of Alabama, Northern and Southern U.S. District Courts of Mississippi; the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals; the Tribal Court of the Poarch Bank of Creek Indians; registered Mediator with the Alabama Center for Dispute Resolution.

Practice Areas: Litigation and appellate work in Federal and State courts in the areas of professional malpractice, contracts, estates, wrongful death, and complex business disputes, among other areas. She is also an active mediator in civil litigation.

Education:  St. Paul’s Episcopal School; Judson College, Ole Miss Law. Following law school, Ms. Barker was Law Clerk to the Honorable Presiding Circuit Court Judge, Charles A. Graddick, of the Thirteenth Judicial Circuit of Alabama. 

Professional Associations:  Ms. Barker is a member of the Mobile County Bar, Balwin County Bar, Alabama Bar, Mississippi Bar, and the American Bar Association. She is also an active mediator who is registered on the Alabama State Court Mediator Roster. 

Ms. Barker has served as the Chair of the Mobile Bar Association’s Public Service Committee; She is a member of the Alabama Defense Lawyers Association, Mobile Bar Association’s Mentoring committee, Defense Research Institute, and Paul Brock Inn of Court. She also is a member and past President of the Mobile Bar’s Women Lawyers section, for which she served as a board member for many years. She has been an officer and active member of many local civic organizations, including Impact 100, the Junior League of Mobile, and Mobile United, for which she served as an officer and steering committee member.
